“Dragon Age: Origins” Review Link

Ok, so here is a review I found browsing IGN’s website. It is for the RPG game Dragon Age: Origins from Bioware. I love RPG games and this is the recent game I’ve fallen in love with. I tend to think of it as a mixture of Blizzard’s “World of Warcraft” and Bethesda’s “Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.” I am really hoping to get this for my birthday and have been on it’s wiki like mad here lately. It has some great qualities to it that I’m really excited about. Of course it has it’s flaws too, but what game doesn’t? Here is the review. I’m not going to write a review on this game however because for one, I’ve never played it. Two, There is no reason for me to write a review and post the link to this IGN review. By the way, this is a pretty long review; just a warning. It’s worth it though.

Snakes and Xbox

Hey guys,

Haven’t made a post in a little while, so I guess now is a good of a time as ever. Been going to school and playing video games like usual. Obviously, the time to catch wild reptiles is over. Though, it’s still possible to go out and find a few amphibians here and there. Just gotta go to the right environment. Mainly marshy type places. I’m bringing my snake to school this upcoming Tuesday. I am bringing the corn snake in for my old biology teacher’s class. Er, that’s my excuse anyways. I really just wanted to bring him for people to see and just kinda show some people how cool they can actually be.

I finally beat Halo: Reach on Legendary by myself. That was a hard achievement. The last level is the worst. It took me three and a half hours. I got cheated out a checkpoint too. One time I got up and did what I was supposed to at the end. During the phase between the cut scene and the actual game, I got killed. It started showing the cut scene and then went back to the checkpoint again. I almost quit, but I, luckily, don’t get extremely mad at video games like a lot of people. I did however do that same part like 20 times. I got it done though and got 325 gamerscore for it. Now my gamerscore is 9600. I’m pretty proud of considering I did it in roughly six months. There’s a new DLC for Left 4 Dead 2. The Sacrifice is a campaign with the original survivors. Only, there is the new weapons and special infected. I plan on buying The Passing and The Sacrifice all at once. I should be able to get all the achievements in about 2 months, depending on how much I play it. I don’t usually buy DLC, but Left 4 Dead 2 is the game that made me buy an Xbox, so I’ve gotta get these. Well, I guess I’ll talk to you guys later, Adam

Well, guys, I’m sitting here in class with the school issued laptops bored to death. We have a sub today, and the teacher left a note to the sub telling us to catch up on missing work and research our graduation project. So basically she told us to do whatever we want; especially since we have proxies and private servers that get us through all the school blocks.

I got kind of bored pretty quick. I was just sitting at the google homepage for like 10 minutes staring at my awesome A7X background. Eventually, I monotonously typed “asdfghjkl” into google search and pressed enter. I decided to just look and see what google would bring me and I found a blog where a person had done the exact same thing as me. He was bored and typed “asdfghjkl” into google. He got interested in what google suggested to him and started wondering about it. So he decided to write a blog about it and see  many people actually found his blog through typed “asdf…” I thought it was a really cool idea, so I’ve decided to do the same. If you found this blog through typing “asdf…” then comment below. Share it if you wish. I would love to see how many people really type “asdfghjkl” into search engines. Even if you didn’t find it this way or you have been reading this blog for a while, still comment on your thoughts about it.

“Avenged Sevenfold” Review

Hello fellow followers. Adam is here with another review. This time, however, I will be typing a review for the band “Avenged Sevenfold” commonly referred to as A7X. Avenged Sevenfold is a band I would classify as hard rock though others may think of them as more of a metal band.

They mostly sing but have about one or two songs every album of screaming. I personally love their screaming myself. Unfortunately after their first album, the lead singer, M. Shadows, lost his voice and had to have surgery. The entire first album was nothing but screaming and the doctor told him that if he didn’t stop that he would lose his voice. So, now he just sings mostly. Recently, A7X’s drummer and back up vocalist, The Rev, died. He, like any other great rock star, died of a drug overdose. He had wrote many of A7X’s songs including Fiction, recently released on their brand new album “Nightmare”, and A Little Piece of Heaven. They had to replace him with a temporary drummer, Mike Portney, the drummer from the band Dream Theater. He finished recording the Nightmare album and is currently finishing their tour with the band Disturbed. In fact, my best friend is going to see them tomorrow. Avenged Sevenfold and Disturbed is a good combination. Oh, and for anyone who cares, Disturbed’s new album just came out today.

Now that you know some of Avenged Sevenfold’s history, let’s talk about their actual music. Like I said earlier, A7X’s first album was nothing but scream. I didn’t really like that album but it was before they had three of their best band members yet. The second album is when they started singing and they got big fast. Everyone loved them after they started singing and they just kept getting more popular and popular. The band members are M. Shadows – Vocals, Johnny Christ – Bassist, Zacky Vengence – Guitarist, Sinister Gates – Guitarist, and the recently deceased The Rev – Drummer and Vocalist.

M. Shadows loves throwing his voice into different tones and sounds while singing. I think that this is one of the many reasons that make them so good. Others, however, don’t like this way of singing, therefore not liking A7X. Some good songs t listen to get a good representation of the band is Bat Country, Nightmare, Afterlife, and Welcome to the Family. These are all popular songs but I feel these sum up the band the best. I like all their songs though. IN fact, I have 42 songs by them on my iTunes. And that isn’t all the songs I would like to have. I’m just too lazy to go get them. Definitely gets a five out of five here. I highly recommend this band.    Cya later,     Adam

Old Review

Hey guys, I decided to bring this old game review over here from Vile Kaizer’s blog. He uses another blog now (http://hypnobunny.tumblr.com/) and if he ever decides to delete the WordPress one, I want to have this one for safe keeping. Eventually, I will probably bring over the Avenged Sevenfold Review also. When your reading this try to remember that it was my first blog on Vile Kaizer’s blog, so it will sound kind of weird.

OK guys, the moment you’ve all been waiting for…. ADAM!!!!!!   But seriously, wassup guys. I was introduced two posts ago so I’m not gonna waste time on that. I have come to you guys today to post a review for the game Assassin’s Creed II. (You can obviously look at the title and pretty much guess what this post is about.)

This game is amazing. If you guys played the first, you will definatly like the second game. You can change the color of your clothing, buy armor and weapons, and even steal other people’s weapons while fighting! And that’s only a few things that are new.

You obviously have money now and many may think that this is a bad thing cause it can lead to no money. Then of course you wouldn’t be able to buy the proper armor. But no, money is pretty easy to come by in this game. You get money from every mission and you can also loot dead bodies and even steal.

The fighting of course has been upgraded as well. Now you can hang from ledges and hide in stacks of leaves and hay to assassinate. You even have two hidden blades! This means you can kill two guards at the same time. There are also new weapons such as maces, short swords, throwing knives, swords, and spears. Unfornatly the only way to obtain a spear is to steal from a guard who has one.

OK, last but not least is the story line. The story line is one of my favorite parts of a game and I wasn’t disappointed with Assassin’s Creed II.  I won’t give away too much but I will say that it is basically starts with the main character wanting revenge for family deaths then turns out to be following up his dad’s unfinshed work. One last thing; the setting is in Italy.

I usually end a review with the bad points of the game and then give the amount of stars it has earned. I will end with the overall score but I have to say, for this game, I couldn’t find a single bad thing. Assassin’s Creed II is the game to get and I definitely recommend it. 5 out of 5 here.

Black Ops & Reach

So, as you video game junkies know, the new Halo: Reach game is coming out in five days. I won’t be able to get my copy until December, but I’m super excited to get a hold of this game. The campaign is going to be incredible. It is going to be a lot different from the others. There is supposedly supposed to be some places in the campaign where there are four missions to do at once, and if you are playing four-player co-op online, then each one of you can go do one of the missions. There is also going to be rocket launchers in the game. The whole campaign is set up as the player playing as Master Chief before even the first Halo. It’s gonna be the best Halo game yet.

In case you didn’t know, Halo: Reach is Bungie’s last Halo game. This doesn’t mean that it’s the last Halo game. Only that it will be the last made by Bungie. Since this was Bungie’s last Halo game, they took the entire game seriously, and didn’t do anything for pure money. A representative said that Bungie wanted Halo players to look at Reach and say “This was the best Halo ever made.” We will just have to wait and see what becomes of it, but I think we all pretty much know.

Call of Duty: Black Ops will also be coming out soon, sometime in November. I think this game will be pretty good, but nothing like Halo: Reach. I mean, this is just another money-maker and not something that they took completely serious like Bungie. I am looking forward to some new game modes and guns but it’s like that with every new CoD game. The only thing that can truly be said is very different from the average Call of Duty game is the helicopters. Flying helicopters was a favorite for me in Battlefield: Bad Company 2. I’m anxious to see how Treyarch includes the helicopter into online play. I’m also looking forward to seeing the new campaign. I personally wasn’t impressed with Word at War and Infinity Ward always made excellent campaigns, so maybe Treyarch will step up their game.

I won’t be getting either until December because I’ve got to wait for my Birthday and Christmas. I can wait I suppose, though it may end up getting the better of me and wind up buying Halo: Reach. It’s hard waiting for something like that though. Anyways, talk you to later, Adam

First Day of School

Well, today was the dreaded first day of school. No one ever likes it but everyone always has to deal with it. Sucks, I know. I had to get up earlier than normal, which I don’t mind too much, but I had to get ready and all that stuff. It’s a lot easier just to get ready whenever you want sometime in the middle of the day right before you leave the sanctity of your house for the first time that day.

The worst part of the entire day was having to ride the bus. I was one of only two seniors on the entire bus. Everyone else drove or got a ride. Fortunately, my neighbour is willing to drive me to and from school everyday since we live right beside each other. Only thing is that I will have to figure out how to deal with the days when he is sick. I never get sick, however. For some reason I just don’t get sick but maybe like twice a year and that’s it. Lucky me I guess.

First period is Geometry. I’m not a big math person so I’m not looking forward to that. It seems to be easy though. Second period is Art and that is always easy. Plus, I enjoy art, no matter how bad I am at it. Third period is English. I’ve always liked English because all you have to do it read books. I don’t see why people don’t like it. My last period, fourth period, is Spanish which I plan to change. I have never liked spanish and wanted Latin. I think with the other classes I wanted Latin but I guess it just didn’t fit in all that well. Hopefully I can figure out someway to incorporate Latin into my schedule. I am definitely dropping Spanish for sure though. If I can’t get Latin, I’ll just switch Spanish for something else.

So that’s pretty much how school went today. Everything that I was worried about came out OK except for the schedule change. I’m hopefully gonna take care of that tomorrow.  Cya guys,  Adam.

P.S. Just for fun and to add some color, I’ll throw in this picture of a Garter Snake I found eating a toad in my backyard. For anyone who would like to know, the toad is a species common around here, the American Toad.

Update

Hey guys, Adam here. I still haven’t got internet back yet. I think Mom is going to try to take it to be fixed this weekend. Life without internet hasn’t been all that great. There is nothing to do except watch TV and go looking for wild herps (reptiles and amphibians). The last time I went out, I found a beautiful Eastern Box Turtle and a couple of American Toads which are quite common around here so they aren’t that great of a find. I’m sorry i can’t show you the pictures, but I don’t have my camera and the pictures are on my computer at home. Later that day my brother found a Garter Snake eating a toad. It had swollen itself up to try to last but the snake got the better of it. I’ve got to go for tonight though. I mainly wanted to write a quick blog like this just to let you guys know I was still here and I haven’t forgotten about the blog. Talk to you later,  Adam

Internet Problems

Hey guys,

I know its been a little while since I’ve made another blog. our internet is down and We can’t get it to come on. My grandma is letting us use her modem while she is at the beach so we can see if the modem is our problem or if it’s something else. Hopefully it’s the modem so we can just buy a new one. Anyways, I am typing this at my grandma’s house. We came up here to get it, so hopefully I can write a few blogs before I have to give it back.

Both snakes are in shed right now. They are doing just fine. After the Kenyan Sand Boa is through shedding her skin, I have to try to feed her again and maybe she will just go right back to frozen-thawed mice. Cya,   Adam
