Black Ops & Reach

So, as you video game junkies know, the new Halo: Reach game is coming out in five days. I won’t be able to get my copy until December, but I’m super excited to get a hold of this game. The campaign is going to be incredible. It is going to be a lot different from the others. There is supposedly supposed to be some places in the campaign where there are four missions to do at once, and if you are playing four-player co-op online, then each one of you can go do one of the missions. There is also going to be rocket launchers in the game. The whole campaign is set up as the player playing as Master Chief before even the first Halo. It’s gonna be the best Halo game yet.

In case you didn’t know, Halo: Reach is Bungie’s last Halo game. This doesn’t mean that it’s the last Halo game. Only that it will be the last made by Bungie. Since this was Bungie’s last Halo game, they took the entire game seriously, and didn’t do anything for pure money. A representative said that Bungie wanted Halo players to look at Reach and say “This was the best Halo ever made.” We will just have to wait and see what becomes of it, but I think we all pretty much know.

Call of Duty: Black Ops will also be coming out soon, sometime in November. I think this game will be pretty good, but nothing like Halo: Reach. I mean, this is just another money-maker and not something that they took completely serious like Bungie. I am looking forward to some new game modes and guns but it’s like that with every new CoD game. The only thing that can truly be said is very different from the average Call of Duty game is the helicopters. Flying helicopters was a favorite for me in Battlefield: Bad Company 2. I’m anxious to see how Treyarch includes the helicopter into online play. I’m also looking forward to seeing the new campaign. I personally wasn’t impressed with Word at War and Infinity Ward always made excellent campaigns, so maybe Treyarch will step up their game.

I won’t be getting either until December because I’ve got to wait for my Birthday and Christmas. I can wait I suppose, though it may end up getting the better of me and wind up buying Halo: Reach. It’s hard waiting for something like that though. Anyways, talk you to later, Adam
